Dark Sky Tasmania’s goal is to preserve and protect Tasmania’s night time environment, ensuring our dark sky heritage is there for future generations to enjoy.

You can help us reverse the trend of our growing light pollution and see Tasmania become a leader in dark sky conservation.

Dark Sy Tasmania is currently seeking volunteers to join our Board. We are looking for motivated and passionate people, especially those with a background in strategic planning, governance, fund-raising, ecology, astronomy and environmental advocacy. The commitment requires attending fortnightly meetings, and roughly 2-3 hours per week of your time.
